Logistics

  1. When is Zuzalu Happening?
    • March 25 - May 25 2023
  2. How do I get to Zuzalu?
    • In terms of next steps, we encourage you to book your flights as soon as possible! Your best options will be TGD or TIV.
      • Podgorica Airport (TGD) is the largest airport in Montenegro, and is a 1hr 30min drive to our location.
      • Tivat Airport (TIV) is the closest airport, only a 15 minute drive away.
    • We will organize continuous shuttles from both airports for the first weekend 25 & 26 March and for larger conference weekends; otherwise, you can ask a taxi to come to the venue.
  3. Where do we stay while at Zuzalu?
    • Each apartment is on the beach and comes equipped with free wifi, a kitchen, parking, beachfront access, air conditioning and access to all Chedi amenitities (gym, sports courts, kayaks, paddleboards etc.)
  4. What will the food options be at Zuzalu?
    • There are 8 restaurants; we're working closely with one of them.
    • There is a small grocery store in town and a larger one a 5 minute drive away (you will have access to golf carts) to get any essentials you need.
  5. What should I budget for everything beyond accommodation at Zuzalu?
    • Beyond the cost for accommodation shared, there will be minimal expenses while at Zuzalu beyond food. Events will be free as will workouts, gym access and access to activities. There may be a few special excursions that you can sign up for and pay for. We'd also love for members in the community to self organize activities and these may cost something.
    • We would budget 50 euros a day for meals if you will be eating out the entire time. Alternatively there is a grocery store nearby to decrease your daily food expenses.
  6. Do I need a specific Visa for Zuzalu?
    • Please look up your passport requirements. If you do need a visa, please contact us

Events and participation

  1. Will I be able to work while I am at Zuzalu?

  2. What can I expect my week days to look like at Zuzalu?

    • It all depends on what you make of it! You could just come and work and talk with the other attendees as though you were living in any other city, or you could join the sub-events, participate in the ongoing hackathon, and engage in frequent physical activities. Imagine a college at 1/4 course load and an environment that encourages serendipitous connections and an interesting conversation with each person you meet. In addition, being healthy is made easy.
  3. What are some ways I can get actively involved in Zuzalu?

At Zuzalu we hope you feel ownership of what you're helping create and help build the city you'd love to live in. We encourage attendees to take responsibility for their experience and the experience of others, and foster a spirit of interdependence within the community, to the extend that you are comfortable with.
